Iceland in Redhill is open again. The Queensway store reopened at 8am on Thursday 20 August, a week after it closed its doors at 4pm on Thursday 13 August for a refurbishment.

Staff marked the moment by cutting a red ribbon at the entrance before welcoming the first customers back in.

What has changed

The closure lasted seven days, but the store looks noticeably different. New signage went up over the frontage while the shutters were down, and the inside has been refitted.

Surrey Extra reported the temporary closure when the signs first went up in the window.

Surrey Extra filmed the ribbon-cutting and a first look around the refurbished store. A longer version of the reopening video is on our YouTube channel.
